Stoked to finally put together a sequel to our Kite vs. Moth video from years back. This time we've got a foil kiter (Zack Marks) going up against a Moth, Foiling Nacra F20, and super talented Marstrom 32 Team.
What's your prediction?

Also, here are some more details about the races. We only had enough time to run 2 Windward Leewards. Here is the scoop
- Weather mark was about 1.5 miles upwind
- Breeze was about 15 knots, everybody was powered
- Kiter was using a 12 square meter kite
- Bay chop was moderate (1-2 feet)
- Plastic bags and sargasso weed WERE present throughout the course

Easy, you can see from 1:27 to 1:29 in the video that the kite is clearly the fastest.
Thanks for putting this together, can't wait to see it!
Were all the rider's approximately equal in skill level in their respective classes?

I'm thinking the Nacra will have the advantage with all that sail area in moderate wind.
The kite foiler isn't going to like the junk in the water but may be able to dodge it.
The Nacra will either cut through the junk with its extra momentum or get fouled and slow.
Pointing ability may determine the winner and that would favor the Kite Foiler.
Should be a close race I think.
Looking forward to see the full movie.

u bastard only a teaser
when is viddy coming out
Marstrom 32 I haven't seen before, the nacro is a fantastic boat.
As always a lot depends on the skills of the sailors not just the boat.

I should come down to the moth and the kite. The M32 doesn't foil and is probably too big for a short course like like, the NACRA F20 is interesting, but it's a one design platform with foils added. The moth and the kite should be a lot more optimized. Moths have been doing this for the longest. They're a little hampered by class rules limiting sail area though.
