Well I am bringing this topic back! thought it was over huh? nope...
tested the new super fly pump yesterday on a 13...then did a video with a back to back test on a 7m with the new and old pump. Ill tell you this: the new pump is really much easier to pump, almost too easy. the frictionless part they boast about really is true. You could pump an entire kite one handed if you needed to.
im not super sure that its "better" but it definitely is another option. I am wondering how long it will last compared to the others. I am really hard on pumps as I pump alot I feel like I go through a pump every 3-5 months. I slammed through a bunch of LF pumps in a year (same as the cabrinha pump). I have been using an ozone pump recently which is the other version. Im hopeful of the new pump...its only a $10 difference so if you on the fence about it...skip lunch at McDonalds one day and splurged on it.
Same opinion, it's really super fast, the effort needed to pump my 15 is less than the half of a standard pump. I think that if I keep it lubrificated it can last not less than any other pump.
Better is definitely better. Move volume and well made are better and its probably well worth it.
Its about friggin time!!
Just this year moved from a slew of old crappy pumps that eventually all failed to the decent Cab pumps and its been a welcome improvement. Shout out to XLkites.com
These are probably even better and one day I'll be happy with that change too. The point that lingers is that they introduced the product with "CORE Kiteboarding completely redesigns the underappreciated kite pump." Clearly not the case. Their site now reads: " The CORE Pump 2.0 is re-invented!" probably in no small part due to this thread.
It's one small little point, but it speaks to a larger issue.
