That is one very important issue you pointed.
I totally disagree. I use a slider and the QR works just fine.
Picture of your connection please.
Rope? Hook that swivels?

Just an FYI on my personal issues with the bar. If you untwist your lines by manually twisting the spinner be careful to not twist the release by accident. The manual spinner is right above the release and I have by accident had the release go. I am not a fan of the bar where it relates to everything below the bar, everything above is really nice. 1) due to the incident above and it does not go back together all that easy in large surf conditions. At least not as easy as others. I have had to body drag back thru some big stuff to get back to shore just to put it together while flying the kite one hand on the chicken loop and one hand on the bar...not so fun. 2) If you loop the kite once and pull the bar then the twist will undue itself but if you have 3+ loops like going down the line and keep looping then the system will not auto undue itself. That is when you have to manually undue the twists. This also created another problem for me because I want to power up to get out over some big waves and the bar now has a lot of twists under the bar between it and the chicken loop that takes up 6+ inches then you can't power up right away due to all that space being occupied by the twists. Anyway these were my issues from using the bar for a whole season. I've now changed over to something else.

No pic.
So a rope and rolling hook ....or a rope and ring.
Okay, when you twist a chicken loop that is attached to a rope, it does not rotate or flop around at all?...it releases positively the same way it would with a chicken loop on a rigid hook with donkey dick in place?
If you are using a rolling hook, I bet $100 that you or I can grab the hook on roller and turn it 90 degrees with new rope that's not even loosened up yet (forget the chicken loop for the time being).
With that kind of room to move, a push away release system seems to be waaaaay more reliable.
Especially for kiters who use just a rope, no ring, no hook at all.

The spinner needs only ...2 fingers to turn it clockwise or counter clockwise
To QR needs normally your hand... all 5 fingers...using right hand or left hand to turn it
Down looping the kite 2 or 3 times is OK and it will undue itself by pulling bar down..yes i approve

I do a couple air transitions tricks that result in 2 crossing of lines..(on uncool strap surfboard  )
Backroll downloop tack to toeside & toeside backroll downloop tack to heelside
Just after landing i tap one side of bar to make it spin twice then pull bar down easily to clean lines

Just love everything about that bar :thumb:
A must have since i prefer changing direction off the water...love air tacks and jibes with kite loops

Thank you for sharing with us...glad you have now the ideal bar for your down the line loop style

Choosing to pick on someones for editing in order to deflect a legitimate point is weak sauce.

Pimp tactics.
