Off the record, yes it is.

That's the president of our company! Ha ha ha ... but yep, you nailed him!
soul19 wrote:Has anyone tried the new bar with older OR kites? Has there been any issues as I love the look of the new bar. It was my favourite part of owning BWS noise kites (classics) and I miss that bar. I haven't used any OR kites at all but they are on my radar now! Also I have read that the Razors are low end monsters and is it advisable to go one size smaller than most other brands?

As little water as this holds, all of us in the office have used the new bar with older kites as we've been testing various versions of this bar since we started working to refine it for release about 2 summers ago. The bar works perfectly with all of our older kites and will (as of about Christmas) include with it a small package of pigtails and instructions to make it universal with all other brand's of kite.
To address your question about the kite size for Razors... the best way I have found to describe the Razor is that it generates power like a diesel engine (without zero emissions! lol) as opposed to a petrol engine. As such, it produces a ton of grunt or torque off the line and then keeps pulling... so I wouldn't say you need to downsize as much as expect a solid, grunty, powerful 1st stroke and pull through the loops. Please feel free to PM me if you want my help in finding you a local retailer to demo one!

Hey JohnZ,
Thanks for the reply back and I am glad to hear that the bar works well with all models regardless of the age. I have always liked the look of the OR kites and have read nothing but good reviews on them. I am looking to see how well the prodigy's and razors compare to the current kites that I use. Being 200lbs and 6ft, I love any kite that has that low end grunt that will get me going. I am use to having to feather kites to get them going so this will be right up my alley.

James - let me know if you found demos to try the kites or if there is anything I can do to connect you with someone?

Does the current Prodigy have 1 or 2 pulleys/sliders per side? Really what I'm asking is will it depower to both front lines on a bar designed to do that, or does it need a single front line depowere bar?
