I'm in Long Island for the next couple months and am trying to find some kite spots nearby. From the map it looks like Mcallister county park would be ideal for a north wind. Anyone familiar with this area or have any recommendations?

Saw this; not sure if it relates to that park or not?
"There is ABSOLUTELY NO KITING AT ANY STATE PARK, for example: Jones Beach State Park and Robert Moses State Park. This is from an old “no kite flying law” that was made before kiteboarding even existed…"
