Maybe this deserves a new topic.
19.8m high and 14.4sec hangtime in only 12-18knots can't be correct?
Maby he got hit by a freak gust?
Don't get me wrong I really enjoy my Woo and recommend it to all my surf buddies.
A action cam and a Woo keeps the fun going even after the session ended.

These results are pretty hard to believe but if you take a closer look at the Toronto crew they are doing some remarkable stuff. They are logging marathon sessions and as a community pushing themselves to see who can log the most 10m jumps in a session and other crazy stats. Having spoken to a number of them I will say their passion and genuine nature is undeniable. A few notes from Jason as I am not sure he is active on this forum. He is using the below gear and local environmental conditions to push his sessions and abilities.
-modified sonic kite
-twin tip with a keel
-cold dense wind
-kickers wrapping around a breakwall
-updraft from break wall and lighthouse
-lightweight rider
I think any device can make mistakes regardless of technology, but the type of anomalies like Sam Light's jump are much different from the results the Toronto crew is posting.

Sadly I think I am the only holdout in all of New England who does not have a Woo. Everyone has one and they all love em! Seems to be very accurate too as I've talked to riders who know to a certain degree how high they get the Woo has been spot on.

Woo's global / regional rating also lowers self esteem.. It's hard to compete against pros in South Africa, OBX and Tarifa if your local average wind is 15kts, hitting 30kts just 2-3 times a year..
I wish WOO devs could implement country/state rating in their app.. but until they do, here is my unofficial version:

I don't think I'll get a WOO. In my mind, I'm right up there with 10m jumps, and don't want reality to burst my bubble.
Don
PS: to those guys who think their 10m jumps aren't huge--if I actually hit 10m on a jump I'd pee my wetsuit! I can't imagine hitting 40 feet or more.

I used to dive and do bombs off the 5, 7 and 10m diving boards at the public pools in my home town, but I can never tell with a kite...

Hahah it was the woo!
I was in Toronto and kiting the local beach there. There was a crew of like 3 guys dingle dangling some of the most poorly executed deadman type inversions just hoofing the boards up in the air under massive flysurfers they all had massive door boards with knife blades on them pooh stanced out like they were trying really hard to crap their diaper when edging I think they were on kites 9m larger than mine I left the beach and the city wondering wtf was that?
I guess that's Woo style eh.....lol!
