Hey all! I know this has been a topic, but as for light wind relaunch who wins?
15m Dyno or 15m Juice.
Also who wins king of light wind between the two?

Would be a good test, but my guess is the 15 Juice would win.
The Dyno would definitely have to have the 5th line attached to even be close.
The new North " Mono "12m probably would be the best, but it's only a 12 so the Juice 15 would be preferable once in the air.
It's all trade offs. The Dyno would be the most fun to fly, but the hardest to relaunch.........

Im trying to find a kite that i can use in a little lighter winds than my 14m Evo. The Evo just does not have the low end is more fun at 12-13 knots +. We have so many light wind days here in SoFlo it would be nice to have a kite that will relaunch in lighter than 12 knots and actually go.
I was thinking maybe 12m Mono, but i don't think its low end is going to be any better than the 14m Evo, just the relaunch.

Guys you go below 10/11 you don't want to be dropping your kite in the water period!
But if you must and relaunch is a priority, then it's got to have some delta/lower aspect to it...like a slingshot turbine, the blade fat lady etc...
kites just don't like to relaunch easily in lighter winds...personally I think relaunchability, unless in waves should be right down the end of your list of wants. Because then you are sacrificing performance for it's ability to relaunch. Light wind you want efficiency.
Just get better... and keep your damn kite in the air at all costs...of course that doesn't always happen, but it should be a priority. Eventually even when you crash you learn to anticipate the crash (yep here it comes) and you put the kite and your body/board in positions that give you the best chance of keeping it in the air.
Until then...get better.

Lol. Thats not the problem. Where I kite its drift launch only. I don't drop my kite unless i'm looping it and get lost in the air, but i'm not looping with a 15, most likely.
So like i said, drift launching in light wind sucks, so when im splitting hairs between Dyno and Juice I wanna see who will help me more.

Then I'd go the juice...It's a big fckn neo with slight changes for it's size. Should launch much easier than a high aspect wing like the dyno. Plus it's more robust will last you longer. Dyno be better once up and running though in those winds. But yeh uf you have to drift launch, juice.

I rode the 18m Juice awhile back and absolutely loved it...and Im not a fan of big kites. Despite the fact that it turns slower, it has that north feel. The 15m is what I will one day buy. I have never flown a Dyno but based on your needs and preferences I'd go with the Juice. I do have a 17m Flight that I have never had any trouble relaunching. But yes, if you are a North fan then I'd reco the Juice.

*Disclaimer: I have ridden and sell both of these.
Yep, the Juice is going to better at just all around low-end grunt in that wind range. And relaunch is better than the Dyno in that range, too. The Dyno would be a little better jumper for hangtime and up wind (like pretty much all of the race kites).
Now, my suggestion would be to get the Juice 18m, not the 15m. In that wind range, the 18m makes ALL the difference.
Good luck!

Hi,
did you buy the 15m Juice? Planning to do my purchase now. Any advice?
