It's about the same. Maybe one size up.

If so, how is the wear on your chicken loop so far?
Friends engine line failed after a short amount of time in this config. Stupid.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know which size of SK75 Dyneema it is that RIde Engine uses. I tried looking for the info on the website, but couldn't find it.
Also, what size SK90 are people using?

Rope specs from Ride Engine:
5mm (3/16”) Dyneema SK-78 rope. Available at marine stores including West Marine (labeled “AmSteel Blue Dyneema SK-78 Single Braid”).

Thanks to both of you.
My internetting skills must be slacking, cause I couldn't find that.

sorry, probably some dumb questions:
what gives you less abrasion? a thicker or smaller rope?
5 mm as proposed by ride engine?
what would be the disadvantage of a bigger rope eg 3/8" (9mm)? if the bigger the less abraison....
may I have to drill a bigger hole in the carbon spreaderbar...

For minimum abrasion you want a thicker rope with the smallest Antal ring that will easily pass it. But I think, given how long ours are lasting, that it's not worth worrying about too much. As long as you have REAL Amsteel line, that is.

rddvet,
To answer your question, I am going to be using this. Haven't had a chance to try it on the water yet but as I'm going to Tarifa next week I'm hoping to use it then.
