Despite being under the footpad, I doubt that the Tile would be waterproof to survive your sessions. You might even crush it under the pressure of your foot. Test it out (but don't get your board stolen) and let us know how it goes :D I could have used a Tile on my recent trip to OBX. I got separated from my board. (Given the wind direction, it would eventually wind up onshore. Unfortunately, "onshore" in the area where I was kiting was a very large section of marshy and grassy bog. Searched for it later on and couldn't find it. I have my name and contact info on it. Hopefully some good samaritan will come across it.)

Hmmm... maybe I'll try a Tile next time for the hell of it. I got a pack for XMas and I only used one for my keys.

It relies on a heavy number of users in your location, and it's really not popular in the UK. So pretty much useless.

Oh man Internet tough guys make me laugh. Commit a felony because someone stole your gear.

I had a motorcycle that I opted out of theft insurance because I was always within 100 ft or it was double locked and blocked in my garage. I do the same with kite gear. It's either locked in my car so car insurance pays for it or I am within eyesight of my gear. It's not that hard people.

Bille,

Where do you live/kite and what do you drive? I want to make sure I avoid you when looking for new (to me) gear.

Kamikuza, alamos_kiter, Nico, corbett,

Where do you live/kite and what do you drive? Can you send me pics of your gear with a condition evaluation. And actually, since it seems that less than 50% of kiters seem to be "Bille's", I have a good chance of going shoping at random and getting away with it. I mean, the cops can't even come into my house if they know that I have your gear???????? Seems crime does pay. Who would not be into that.

I just hope the "Billie's" keep decreasing in society and the Kamikuza's keep increasing. That would make my life easier and my kite quiver much fuller.

Can't wait till someone posts thinking I am actually a scumbag thief.

People tend not to go to the trouble of inflating a kite, waiting for good wind, luring the people they don't like down to the beach and then savagely tomahawking them to death with the LE.

Much easier to just . . . shoot them

Open carry , AND concealed carry , are Both legal at Lake Mohave and Lk Mead, so
it is NOT a felony ; and I would not be dumb enough, to banish a gun, without
legal cause. :nono:
