Any word on the PIQ?

Supposedly shipping to US in July. I like the idea of real time numbers without having to purchase a watch..

I totally agree! We get intermittent wind and big tides here so when we do get in for a few hours the surf and conditions change a lot. It's often very hard to remember exactly which jumps were big and which were almost big. Real time feedback will be amazing.

But I'm not sure if I want to buy version 1 of any hardware. I think I'm going to wait for the bugs and issues to be fixed first!

I have mine, been out for a session. Was really excited to know how high (or not) I'd jumped after each jump, but failed as it was evil channel chop and I couldn't focus on the board between my legs. Gut reaction is that it was fairly accurate.

Will try again on sunday, also the app talks about a leaderboard - so far it's a figment of North's imagination as far as I can deduce.

I saw WeTestKites put out some results on this elsewhere (albeit a tiny data set of 9 jumps comparing only vs the Woo). ANyone else using the PIQ? Thoughts? Results?

WOo was a great idea, just old tech now. I lvoe the additional improvements of the Xensr altho confidence in the devie is weak atm.

We need more data!

I Havent tried mine yet, but when I throw it in the air, it only registers a few of the throws. I have sent an inquiry to PIQ and I hope they will help me, and maybe send me a new sensor. Otherwise it seems to work okay with the app.

i have used it quite a few times

seems very accurate and consistent.....lower than woo in general, doesnt appear to register table tops, if i jump 28 or 29 feet on it ,i know i have gone over 30 on woo.
display is the bomb.......no problem reading it!!! while riding. you do have to hunch over so you look straight down....but again no prob
app.......its okay.....pretty much for you only, no leaderboard spots or global total statistics, no comments section, no social, no pictures

i have xensr, woo, piq, if i had to keep one its still the woo................as an overall package with leaderboards and social it has no equal, and its most user friendly

if the piq had the same app as woo , could be serious competition.

mine did that too, but when you ride it gets everything, guessing you cant fool it that easily.

Used mine two times with no problem.

But I have 2 issuses.

Is it possible to acces leaderboard except the email you get.

I feel that the sensor is not safly mounted, its only kept in place with an elastic. At some point the elastic will give inn to wear and tear I guess, seems like a bad idea. Also one time the sensor was a bit out of place. Im afraid I might loose it one day....
