i can just say that before heading here i had my last wave session in oman with the F-One bandit 9, 8m and it is faster.
anyway, nothing to be worried about. 5 out of 5 ppl that tried my kite here, loved it, saying one of the best wave kites they ever used.. (experienced riders only)

I'll tried one time in 10m winds 15kn-18kn, small wave.

It is a nice wave kite, with a lot of depower not as powerful as Neo, for me had the same power more or less than my Park HD. I used the BTB bar which I prefer and the construction of Quadtex is very good and solid.

Drift is amazing how it turns surfing, friendly kite and stable. I couldn't test for Strapless freestyle too much, but it seems to work pretty well. In comparison with my Parks HD I found slighty slower, but the feeling on the bar (midle power) was similar, next time I'll change to a faster position instead of middle knot.

I'll test again in smaller sizes and maybe I'll take in 9m&7m.

i have tried the 4, 7 and 9 Slash. My former kites where the Pivots from 2015, so not last years.
I am sailing in cross/cross onshore waves on a global 6.0.

Great kites. They remind me more to my Parks 2013/14 than the Pivots. Much more active kites. More on/off power with shifting the bar. I would say you need to sail the kites more active to get the best action. A lot faster than my Pivots.
easier to go upwind because it is better to regulate the power/grunt. On my Pivots i have to edge a lot more.

I think the Pivots are great for the less experienced. Much easier to sail. They are slower and have a more constant pull which make them easier for instant to gybe. You need to move them around less.


I am glad with the Slash but i have to step up my sailing. Which is great.

I have 5-7-9.

Just tried the 7-9 a few times.

Its makes my strapless riding more easy, i can control, power up, dump the power, better and thats makes it much more easy to complet rotations etc.

Havent tried real waveriding yet, but the feeling off being able to forget about the kite is there, and because of the extreme powercontrol on the bar, you would feel more confident flying the kite more wild than you normally would.

Do you think it has the same low end?

Also on/off is a bit strange as the AR is lower ?

Hallo i'm New here and my english is bad ö

I bought a slash 7m and i'm wondering What bar works the best on this kite.

I'm currently using the naish torque btb control bar but i'm experiencing serieus backstall when fully powerd and bar pulled all the way.
Seams like i can pull it to far.

Can someone give me some pointers?

Did you check your line lengths? Front and back need to be same length. I am using Torque ATB and BTB and had to lenghten the back lines after a while. No backstall issues at all if the bar is properly trimmed. That is for 5/7m Slash and my range of Pivots.

I did check the lines even after knowing that the bar is used only 4times before. I find it verry strange, the reason why i call for help :p.

The lines seam to be the same if the bar is pulled all the way. Is this the correct way to check the lines?

I am waveriding for 2 jears now but recently bought a 7m slash (first wave kite) planning to get myself a 5 and 9 also.
I was talking with experienced waveriders who told me that backstall is normal for a wave kite in a fairly quantity.
This i find strange, but due to my lack of expirience flying wavekites i am not sure of their opinion on this.

I did testruns on the drifter, no backstall what so ever

Hope to solve this problem because i love the slash!!!

yes, bar pulled in all the way and depower line open (not pulled in). You can also play around with it by pulling in the depower a bit and look if it still back stalls. Could also be a question of the wind strength. I go kiting in the waves when it is blowing properly (before that waves do show up on our beaches). North sea, same as in Belgium. In what wind did you fly it?
