Kite Bar for lots of rotations and no front line twists?

Postby Nukin » Sun Sep 18, 2016 6:55 pm

Getting back into the sport and currently riding AirRush kites and Bars.

Looking to see who makes a 4 line bar w great swivel above or below that never tangles the front lines after rotations?

I really like the Air Rush bar and how it changes size, the stopper & chicken loop...........but........ I find the front lines twist up a bit after several rotations. Not a big deal but to untwist but you have to basically stop kiting and twist the collar above the chicken loop which is kinda "sticky" at times when you manually untwist with your hand and being so closer the the QR makes me a bit nervous.

Is the Core Bar the best option here or something else?

Flysurfer bar has the same feature untwisting the center lines.
The downsides are very fast power line wear and: if you attach your center lines to kite with any twist - you won't get rid of the twist until you take off the lines from the kite and untwist them and then reattach.

I prefer a bar with manual below the bar swivel (almost all bar have it nowadays). And if you do rotations to both way, there is no need to untwist anything ;)

The core bar that I tried works the best for this. My north bars are good but you have to do it manually. The core is automatic.....hey north......how bout something like on your next bar...... better crowd pleaser than the click gimmick.

Hey do-it the click bar also features automatic untwisting of the front lines similar to core
Below the bar ceramic bearings system combined with rectangular shape TPU covered single depower line

With all the whining about the North Click Bar, people have actually forgotten what its features were

The Click Bar is probably the only bar with that level of effective untwisting of lines.

... I've owned the Core bar, use the Trust North bar and tried many other brands over the years and the Click bar has by far the best auto-untwist of any bar,,, it works well.

I tested it looping the kite 4 or 5 times one way then unwound the lines with perfect untwisting every time attempting to load it up as much as possible at the time by edging hard. Tried it one way then the other, no worries.

I'm not sold on the rest of the bars features yet but the auto-untwist is second to none!

cheers,

Robbie :)

I don't know which year bar you are using right now, but you could simply replace your chickenloop for one with a swivel. Doesn't even have to be Airush, really.

You'll still have to untwist, but it's alot easier below the bar!

North click bar looks pretty cool. Can't seem to tell if it adjusts to different lengths to accommodate different size kites. The push button looks pretty simple from the video's I have seen I guess it would just take a bit of time getting used to a side of bar adjustment instead of a pull / pull that that has dominated for the past 10 years. Is this bar really $700, though?
