Power on the beach means nothing, as these kites dont develop power without speed - this is power in a proper powerstroke that would tow you down the beach on your face!

Great, so would you say the V9 develops a bigger power spike in comparison to V7 & V8 when you dive it..... ?
No... generally it feels "gruntier" - more instant power & if anything requires less speed over the foil to generate power.

Just had my first ride on my 8m V9. 30-35 knots.

Got my personal best woo height with 19 meters and 12.6 seconds hangtime.

Now that I have had quite a few sessions on them I will be making a review video, but here are a few things first off.

1) It is easier to jump higher on the V9 than the V8, especially when really powered up. For one it turns faster which gives you more pop and height. Also the more stable leading edge make a difference. With my V8s I had to be careful when powering the kite up in a very loaded jump. If I pulled to hard the wing tips would bend and the kite would loose power and would not rip you off the water. The V9 holds it shape no matter how aggressively I pulled the bar in during the jump, which translated in to more upwards acceleration.

2) The V9 feels safer in gusty conditions. I had the 8m out in Sotavento, which is one of (if not the) most gusty places in the world, and I felt super safe all the times. The kites loops very predictably, which is great when using loops to catch yourself after being dropped after a gust. Also it did not bounce around at the edge of the window like my V8s do in these conditions.

It was not a lemon :-)

The V8 was good for what is was made for, but the traits that made it good for racing and going fast, made it a bit trickier for Boosting. I still managed to get 15m high jumps on the 15m Kite, so it was not all that bad. Still better than a lot of HighAR Tubes out there.

lol Gunnar...only 19m !? Your old 9M V8 did 19m with bendy tips & unstable leading edge - but the V8 is fine & yes the V9 is marginally improved/feels "stiffer". Looking fwd to using the V9 in decent wind.

Hey guys

I'm looking for a Kite which can replace both my Enduro 9 and 12 and I'm thinking about a 10m Edge. I'm keeping the Enduros but I want to be able to ride at the same time as my gurlfriend. I'm 62kg, how would you rate my lowend with 10m Edge and a lightwind twintip (I have 2 Twintips)? Can it match the Lowend of my 12? Also considering to learn to Foil on the 10. Is the Edge the way to go?

62kg aside what is your riding ability and style. The reason I ask is that many riders on this thread Tone, The Russian, Gunnar, me etc., like to ride their Edges super powered as its all about jumping big.

I have just purchased a 9m v9 to replace my 7m v7 and 10m v6. This will fit with 13m v8 & 17m v7. This will be my high wind kite and I should be able to hold it 25-38knots (ish). But I'm heavy at 105kg, ride flat water and have 17years kiteboarding experience....... Can't wait to try it!
