which wind is needed to jump of the tower?
It is close to shore...so onshore winds are not possible.
Pls, behind the tower should be a wind shadow...
A offshore wind should be pretty gusty...maybe not in that height, but in lower height.
Pretty dangerous if you ask me...but, so was the jump of the shipwreck in Capetown...
But thinking of the winds in CT and the size of the wreck, that would be way less dangerous than the tower.
If he did t, I am sure they paid a lot of money...at least, they should have...that is high and can kill him.

Actually a good question if you need wind or not...does it make a difference?
Maybe you just need to loop the kite and keep it going ... with a small kite you just drop down...kiteloop a should help, or a bigger kite.

You pretty much need some wind to start to keep the kite in the air. Otherwise you'd be doing some crazy slack line base jump, theoretically possible, but definitely pushing the limits of sanity.
