Anyone been and know the best kite spots? We will be using taxis to get around so anywhere on the island is fine. Thanks

Ponta Antonia had nice on-shore bay with smaller waves. If you went further out there were bigger waves. This was xmas-new year season. I also kited at Buccaneer beach outside Riu Karamboa which was side off-shore with gusts. There was also a quite narrow lagoon where kite school ran their lessons / trials.

send me a email or private message and I will inform you about all spots in Boavista - Cape Verde. If you need to rent apartments, equipment or a car we can organize everything. Our school operate inside the Hotel Iberostar but we organize almost every days kitetrips around the island.

Best spots are Ervatao in the South East, crossshore from the left over a reef point and a couple of sandy bays, and Varandinha in the South West which is cross / slightly cross off in the prevailing North East winds. Ponto Antonia in the North East is a more sheltered bay with small waves wrapping in the the mouth of the bay more suited to beginners. Ervatao is usually a few knots windier than elsewhere. Enjoy the island!
