Just got out from my second ride on the Naish Boxer. Conditions were pretty much dead onshore 10-15kts. I have a 12M Naish Boxer and the kite performed amazing. I was riding a Liquid Force Happy Foil. Only 3rd time foiling so I can't contribute to much there but the kite had a ton of low end power. I had to deposed the kite once up on a foil, mainly due to apparent created and beginner/intermediate foil skills. Everybody else tried riding 17.5 meter kites going nowhere. I know the apparent wind created from the foil definitely helped but the kite performed amazing. Crashed the kite in the water around 6 times and relaunched no problem each time. Never post reviews but just got back from the beach and have a ridiculous amount of light wind foil stoke.

I just had my first session on my new Boxer 12m with my hydrofoil. After a few minutes it felt very comfortable. I am used to flying foil kites (Ozone Chrono) so wasn't sure the Boxer could compare but I hardly noticed after a while. The Boxer doesn't point quite as high going upwind of course but it did seem to allow a very deep angle going downwind. It jumps well, downloops easily, and holds me up well during gybes and tacks. I was nicely powered in 12 knots of wind. Overall I was happy with it.

With my Chrono foil kites there are places where I can't launch a foil kite or I am afraid of relaunching it (like in the surf).

I haven't tried relaunching the Boxer.

 CG

It relaunches great. Way better than the trip.

12m is a good size for you hydrofoiling in light winds. You wont need anything bigger unless you want to compete in international races.

Definitely no races! :-) How would you rate the lowend of a 10 with a Nugget or a lightwind TT?

Whats your take on the Boxer in a large size as a surf kite? What about for jumping?
Im finally getting to this. Sorry !. It definitely has its place in light wind kiting but its not responsive enough to be a good surf kite. I guess thats why Naish didn't market it as one. Im getting out on my foil a lot more days now ! And I'm still not getting any better at it ! HaHa ! Doing a transition in 8mph is tough no matter what gear you got ! I need to go out in better winds but when its windy I want to be on my surfboard !
