Are you actually planning on surfing ... or just kitesurfing with this board?

Flyboy: the exact board is airush converse. (should have said 'directional kitesurf board...). planning to kitesurf in waves but not surf without kite.

ciscokitesurfer: great about LAN - I have taken them before no problem inside Peru without problem but I am worried about the US part of the trip as the US airlines have gotten greedy and nasty. great trip report and videos!

juandesooka: sorry to hear about the big fees. this is exactly why I usually rent

I'm currently leaning towards getting a used snub nose board & a bigger 'golf' bag and keep it under 50 pounds
