Boring pump question

Postby letsgoflyakite » Thu May 04, 2017 9:29 pm

Can't believe I'm asking about pumps, but here goes. I borrowed a new north pump today. Sooo much easier than my old flat top north and slingshot pumps. The old ones are clean and maintained and feel much the the same as when they where new. What makes the newer style domed head north pump so much easier ? Are all the similar looking makes this easy ?

Are you talking about the new yellow ones vs the white ones?

The one I tried was yellow. All my pumps have a flat lid, this was domed.

The new pumps that most brands have now are much better than the old ones.

I saw it first hand it's not a joke. It came out early April at teh same time as those CO2 cartridge fool's. It's overkill for kite because it takes so much room in car trunk but definitely useful if you need to inflate a big volume.
