The JAY xtc harness design is unique and the flexibility is great for users and resellers.
Your experience should show to forum audience the advantages of such a design.

What size would be the same size fit as a "Medium" flying objects flight control harness ? measurements can be all over the place if you cant actually try one on.. absolutely shits me to spend money on things and get it freighted Worldwide - only to find its the wrong fit..

Yeah its a bit of a punt. Its ideal to try before you buy.

In my instance its not a perfect fit. But fits well enough and doesn't chafe. I do like the less rib squeeze when I'm hit by a crazy over powered gusts. Eg 38 knots gusts on an 8m.

Had a couple more sessions on the harness.
One on the hydrofoil and the other session powered jumping and wave riding on fhe mutant.

For foiling the harness is awesome. The sliding rope is ideal for toeside foiling. Didn't feel any discomfort.

Powered jumping the sliding rope isn't ideal. But I'm getting used to it. Had a 3 hour gusty 20-30 knot today. Didnt get the usually rib squeeze. So the rigid harness definitely helps when powered. It does feel a bit stiff on the back when doing big powered jumps.
I experienced some discomfort during those boosts. But less than a normal flexible harness.

The pulley ring supplied was pretty grabby. So I've ditched that in favour of a d ring. I have a low friction hook on order.

The pulley ring can be tightened too much, then it won't roll smoothly.

Yes, tighten it right up then back it off until it just turns freely. Don't forget the Loctite 243.

Hey Plummet - how are you finding the sizing and fit after a bit of use and stretch ? Is it light after it gets wet..

Probably a bit better fit. I don't notice a change in weight when wet.

The height of the harness from rib to hip on the side is a little big for my liking. It's a bit Pinchy on the rib if I don't wear an impact vest. With the vest on it's fine.

Low friction ring and shorter chicken loop installed. Now I need to try!
