I think we were first to get the HEVO,s here in OZ, that's a pic of my board in the FireWire thread.
Been surfing & kiting a 5'3 (73kg) for about 3 months - best board I've ever had.

If you're interested in the new Firewire FST KITE construction, check out this thread:

I'm just curious when these Boards will be available in Europe...
The Euro distributor says September, so you might find one or two in the shops in December...

The forces when jumping strapless with a kite are much higher than classic surfers jumping... so in my opinion if you want a board that lasts longer, and won't break in your first season you should choose another construction technique than a classic surfboard.

So imho the Classic Polyester Surfboard Construction just doesn't make sense for us Kiteboarders.
Bite your tongue! Classic Poly/PU construction is awesome when done right.

Polyester resin is weaker than Epoxy resin...don't see any aircraft or race cars being made with Poly resin.

And classic surf construction has so many drawbacks for kitting.

I was wrong, there are some in the UK and in Germany.
I managed to put my hands on one in size 5'1. Now waiting for decent conditions.

I have seen a number of Stallions on the beach that don't look dinged up like the board above.

Today I finally got to ride a V2 5'2". I have a Vanguard 5'2" myself. Only 10 minutes but I have a few things to share.

The Stallion is a confidence inspiring board. through the chop it felt muted, as if it smooths out the chop itself. not quite different from my Vanguard which, even though the chop isn't an issue, does clatter more. The Stallion is quick and very stable but allows for quick changes of direction. I think the Vanguard is a little slower in that respect. It's very easy to carve the Stallion aggressively.

I'll be sure to try it longer next time, this is but a short impression.

Any current Stallion users that can share more about durability? This V2 is about 2 months okd but looks new.

The guys from the factory told me there was no quality issues with my board. Expect the same to happen to any Stallion board.

I bought the Evo in the new helium tech in size 5'1. I rode it for a total of about 16 hours so far. I'm not sure if I prefer the Evo over the Vader at this stage (except for jumping as the Evo is noticeably lighter).

I have used my V1 Stallion 5'4" and 5'0" since April and both boards are in excellent condition! Some very minor dimples on the 5'4", nothing like the pic of that board. We have sold lots of Stallions and no issues. Without a doubt the best kite surfboard I have used.

Dimples are from under glass or sanding thin.

there are 2 types of kite surfboards.
#1 light and flexy made for kitesurfing not for doing airs. rides like a surfboard should if you were just surfing

#2 heavier and strong made for long life and putting it through it everything. rides some what like a surf but with less flex

You can not get a strong light boards. there is no way... I have been at it too long and tried to make one with no luck. We have made a kite surfboard that one of our team riders rode for 4 years doing 15-30' strapless airs but it was a heavier board. I tried something this year for him and the board lasted 2 weeks.

People get pissed when you sell them a $800 + kite surfboard that doesn't last. I really don't know what people think some days. hell a kitesurf board has 3 layers top and 3 bottom of glass most of the time. with a foam core. a twin tip has 2-3 layers top and bottom with a wood core and they snap. ( and 2 of the layers are tiax)

I like the one reply and he hit the nail right on the head about surfers... they plan on buying a new surfboard almost every year if not 2-3 times a year.

There is no real bomb proof boards , there are some that just last longer then others.

I have fixed more boards in the last 2 years then ever before. more foil boards then anything from doing 40-50' airs

just my 2 cents

Of course you can. Carbon/epoxy boards are light and strong but they have no flex.
