I'd like to see the following tested...
Ride Engine (Hex Core vs. Carbon vs. Bamboo)
Ion Team Series (AH vs. Wave)
Mystic Majestic (X vs. X Wave)
Brunotti SmartShell (YZ vs standard)
Dakine C-1 (Hamerhead vs. standard)
And as already mentioned... the Prolimit Vapor and Jay Flextech

It seems that a lot of people (especially initially) were selling on Ride Engine harnesses having bought wrong size, I've also seen other makes to lesser extent. I'd ask manufacturers what else they can do to ensure that customers aren't having to buy more than once. Because of the incredibly wide range of options and expense of each harness, there won't be many dealers willing to hold all that stock just to be able to make occasional sales, especially if they sell from more than one manufacturer!

Well that's a real request. :D Time for a small update:

Ride Engine series. Check
Waiting for Mystic Majestic X
Prolimit Vapor arrived
Contacted Jat Flextech, waiting for an answer

We don't want to compare apples and oranges. Da Yoda versus option is a good one.
Work in progress

I should have left out the use of "verses" on the models since they are the same harness but different spreader option (hook or slide). What's more important is the variances between these models. Stiffness, molded shape, and height to help determine the fit differences or commonalities. Also some detailed info on the functionality of the strap attachment and tensioning systems for the s-bar would be good to know. Example: RE had some issues with that in the past. Looking forward to your review! :thumb:

Maybe just a general question: Does the Manera Exo count as a hardshell harness? Think it would be a good idea to include in the mix?

I'd say no. The Exo's EDF (energy dispersing frame) is made of polyurethane, not carbon or a similarly stiff material. I've heard that this harness is quite supportive though. It could almost be regarded as a hybrid since it offers some of the same benefits of the hardshell harnesses.

I have a brand new Mystic Majestic X, size medium for sale. I bought the wrong size and can't return it. $365 shipped in the USA. I may be able to ship international.

Do you have a jay xtc in your test?

PS I alreadt have one. but am interested to know how it compares to others.

PS. spreader hook up to harness and ease of putting on is high on the list. Adjustability is another. Do any come with low friction rings as standard or option?
Hi Plummet, what do you mean with a low friction ring?

Tony are you Navajopilot on Ebay? I see a Medium for sale on there.

I just bought a Majestic X too. What size are you? I bought the medium and I'm a 32-34" depending on beer/miscellaneous gluttony. I was sent a Large originally and could've used it without issue too. There isn't a huge difference between them just so you know. I've used the Medium a few times and it fits great. Really nice and compact too.

I'm curious to see how the Pro Limit Vapor turns out. I've been a fan of their harnesses, but apparently they don't care to bring it to the U.S........

No matter, I'm good on my harness now.
