i recon a 5 strut low aspect kite would be ultimate. I have 3 strut 6m reo which I can hold to 50 knots. I start trimming at 40 knots on the mutant. You have to pump in HARD or you can get the kite collapsing when loaded up hard.
I also have a 4m uno (mainly for hydrofoiling). I've foiled on that in 40 knot gusts and it was a piece of cake. But being only one strut it more easy to collapse by over loading it.
Dude, some of your kiting is just crazy! I've been to NZ and I know how crazy it gets. Foiling on a 4m is just weird to think about when I'm wanting more from my 14m.
You have to have stories of poor souls trying to learn out there.

Then a 5 meter should be fine. Have had it out in 38 to 50 knots, no issues. A well-balanced kite will handle gusts as well. Just don't try and jump.
Well, I didn't, but maybe I'm getting old
l was sending that shit hard got level with kite once redirected at light speed and came down like a feather which I've never been able to do on small kites. I never ever kite without sending it. I was amazed at how stable it was and never dropped me like a rock yet again it was blowing 50

3.5m BRM Cloud ... 40 - 50knots, awesome fun. I had an angry fast kite that day.

The 30-40 knot day wasn't actually that hard. I found a bit of flat water in behind the breakwater at the local warf. So even the the wind was crazy I and the flattest water I have ever kited on. It was way easier to learn jibes in those conditions compared to riding a 3m swell in 15 knots. I've come to the conclusion that foiling difficulty is more about water conditions than wind speed. As long as you have a suitably powered kite any wind speed Is fine.
PS I love small fast fly kites. I wish all by kites flew like the 4m!

7m 5 line c kite, north vegas, best gp, airush razor, naish torch, etc. These kites are easy to handle, stable, not too twitchy and depower great on both the bar and by edging hard. Better than any bridled kite in 40+ kn.

Guess I will just fix the valves (its the wack a mole valve game the ones where the seams And glue have held the hard plastic cracks and the ones where the hard plastic is good the seams and glue has let go so much fun at least the kite flies great when I can get it to hold air) on my flexifoil ion 3 7m and run it in 5 line mode since I can't seem to find any storm chasers or OR storms anywhere

Genetrix Hydra has a special bridled design which leads to far higher ends than competition ... so I am not surprised. To me it is THE reference for safe higher winds.

The Ocean Rodeo storm would be a good choice - designed specifically for that washing machine stuff...

If I were to buy a kite to take out in a hurricane I'd look for two criteria:
-Durable construction.
-Cheap to replace if/when things go wrong.
Don't kitesurf in a hurricane.
