I think the complaints about new tech products is just a matter of two things being informed and understanding the complexity of developing high-tech hardware products.

If you think you are buying a product when you give away money on kickstarter of Indiegogo you are sadly mistaken. What you are doing is supporting a the idea of a product that is yet to be developed by people who very often have little experience in developing hardware and are small customers so they often get shafted by manufacturers in china. Any hardware idea is a high risk proposition. By far most are not scam artists, but they are subject to conditions they do not control. Secondly you have to understand the platform. IGG will not do anything to support you in claims. They do not care and allow actual scam artists onto their platform over and over again. The onerous is on you to research your support properly.

I love the idea of kickstarter, but I think most people who commits money there believe they are buying a product. They are not.

Most startups that have to make hardware of any complexity, fail. They don't know how to design for production, work with suppliers, secure the supply chain, service and returns, distribution and retail support. Or they may only know some of this.
It's way, way more complex than is understood by most people.

Yup
Not only that, but the order they place is usually so small they will constantly lose the place in the line. Hardware is hard.

i think ai digital zooming technology is the future for consumer self filming - not mechanical zooming. 720 from 4k for example.
