Fastest turning wave/boost kite

What do you think, is there something like that? Of all wave kites you know, which one is the fastest turning?

I'd say the Reo, but I'm not sure about boosting.

To me it is easily the Pivot, but you'll get a lot of different answers here. I mean you know the BRM is super fast turning, but personally I do not have too much experience jumping it. On the Pivot I do both.

I'd say the Reo V4

Fast turning and pretty good boosting for a wave kite

Human brain is very unreliable at measuring anything. Unless you loop the two kites side by side like those guys at KiteFinder.com do, all those opinions that are about to fill in this thread are just that: speculation or shameless promotion not supported by any evidence whatsoever. I can suggest that this is not a rocket science however, and offer a simple criteria. Tell me the aspect ratios of the two kites, and I will reply which turns faster.

100% completely right. That is why a demo is so useful in kitesurfing.

Now for something completely different:
phpBB [video]

A horribly edited video showing how a wave kite can jump a little!

I think people need to state which wave kites they tried and which one felt the fastest to them. Just because your wave kite is faster than your other kite, doesn't make it the fastest.

v3 Cabo 11m FASTER than my 2016 SST 12m.

For that matter, it would be interesting to know some numbers. For instance, how much faster turning are "wave" kites compared to "free ride" ones (for the same size). What is the difference in timing for 180 degree turn in seconds, are we talking 5%, 10% or 50%?

Reviewers at thekiteboarder.com pioneered a trend of showing the overhead kite photos. By just looking at those you can get an idea what kite AR is. Then, if we know how the turn speed depends on AR, one will be able to guess how fast a kite turns without actually trying it!
