North Dice with a WakeStyle Bar setup ?

Postby fire_t » Sat Sep 16, 2017 7:39 pm

Wanted to know if anyone tried riding a North kiteboarding Dice (2018,2017,2016...) with
instead of a regular thrust bar usuing a north Wake Style bar (Lower V) ?

And if so, do I need to extend lines? front? 5th?

Thanks

Not sure it will work that well.

The wakestyle bar is aimed at those who are really into their unhooked tricks. These people will be using the Vegas since they aren't looking for a compromise.

You could still try it though, it should work similar to having the Dice on any low V bar.
Since the 5th line isn't loaded on the Dice, ling length will not be a problem. You mini-5th will be too long to carry tension on a 5 line bar with equal lengths.

Watch Tom Court's movies - he flies dice on wake bar. You need to adjust 5th line - we tried it, cant remeber if it was too short or too long but I remember it was wrong ;) First gen of Dice was often flown on low V bar.

You could just buy an Ozone bar - it has all the benefits wake bar has - low V and narrow width. Plus it's cheaper and most likely no adjustments needed.

P.S. or even better - a click bar with no Y spreader - no abrasion on your lines.
