Hard shell of the harness can spread the load from the kite even in the absence of spreder bar.
Completely wrong!
Using sliding rope connected directly to the kite harness without spreader bar is recipe for injury! :nono:https://www.ropebook.com/information/vector-forces/

Thanks for warning, Mitaka.
Rope angle where the slider is at my present bar is below 90 degree.
I expect similar or lower angle with shell harness. Another force scheme will apply:

Above force scheme slightly differs from real forces, but difference is less than 10%.

Eventually, some gut massage during the session will help better digestion;))

Also, the further sideways the attachment point can move the more de power you lose when toeside. If you like to ride wound up, this can be a problem as well.

You are right, knotwindy.
Especially that shell harness is located much higher than seat harness I'm using now.

Coleman had it right when he was making them smaller. Slingshot comes in and ruins them by making them larger. Now the Ride Engine digs into your ribs. Fail on Slingshot. Put Coleman back in charge Slingshot.
