Zandmotor Holland advice...

Postby Luke Palin » Thu Oct 19, 2017 8:57 am

I'm travelling to Holland next week and I plan to go to the Zandmotor lagoon/ beach.

Does anyone have any advice about restriction, best tides, access etc?

Thanks

The lagoon is tiny with low tide. So high tide is best for riding in the lagoon. It's a busy spot with many beginners.

As far as I know there are no restrictions against kiting in the lagoon and on the sea.

I remember you have to walk pretty far from the parking to the lagoon.

Google maps: Machiel vrijenhoeklaan, den haag. Park at the Southend, where you'll see a rotunda. Free parking. Cross the dunes right at that rotunda, when on the beach look to your left. You'll see the kites in the air.

Drop me a private message, if you want, maybe we can hook up or I can answer extra questions. Or6

The lagoon is very and often very very crowded.
If you can go there on week days during working hours.
Or try other spots.
