19.6m boosting on flatwater.

Postby Bladesurfer » Wed Oct 25, 2017 7:04 pm

Wanna make a shout-out for Ozone Edge V9 .
Had an epic session with my Edge V9 8m today.
Wind was 23-40knots maybe more in gusts. Got some crazy hangtime where I almost stood still in mid air when I timed a crazy gust.
Chickend out 2 times where I couldn't edge because off crazy gusts.
Top three jumps according to Woo: 17.3m(9.8sec) 18.3m(8.8sec) and 19.6m(8.6sec). This on flat water. Imagine if I had big ramps to boost of 😁.

Thats huge for flat water.

Some local kiteschool instructor just did 16m in flat in NY on XR 4 or 5.
Impressive.
Last year did 11/12m on my GP in 30-35 flat (no chop, offshore setup). Was my first session on it though and older board which I couldn't get good pop on. Only way I can go higher is more speed and a bit more wind. Maybe different kite but don't really know. Hard to test back to back.

Hell Yea dude!

I get my best boosts on flat water, I just don't have the technique down on kickers, I see a kicker I like and as I send the kite it's just not where I want it at the time the kicker gets me up. I think I need to delay the send and let the kicker jump me first. Anyway, those are some tasty jumps and hangtimes :o I may have gotten a few 12m boosts in tonight on the HF. :jump:

Hard to get it to happen with 2 children and a wife that doesn't fancy kitesurfing 😁.
