Still no educated and detail on the differences. Can I suggest most of you are usual keyboard kooks who wouldn't know a good kite if they were on one anyway.

let alone compare them in an educated non biased manner.

Anyone apart from these bozos, with more than 10-15 years experience who can actually give a discerning run down in the differences in all areas (except unhooking which isn't necessary).

The moaning on this page and over on the “Rebel 2018” circle-jerk board is truly stunning. It’s either, “boohoo, where’s my fifth line!” or “eeeeew, rotor qr, what’s that?!” or “fuck North! no fuck Core!” Kindergarteners, the lot of you.

These are two of the best (and most expensive) kites on the market. Neither will suck, so calm the fuck down. If you live anywhere that’s kite-able in the northern hemisphere you should be able to demo without too much trouble.

To the die-hard Rebel crowd, I feel your pain, truly. It sucks when old faithful gets a makeover and now feels defferent. I don’t and will probably never use North (or most other brands) for the reason stated previously. I hate the annual feeding frenzy over which god damn valve cap is better etc. The big sales brands are behaving more and more like they're trying to release the next iPhone. Such is life when you think you can turn a sport mainstream. Purists get left behind. The only real marketing bullshit people fall for is the notion that it’s even possible to do really innovative development from one year to the next.

Lol I have to agree, its quite hard to compare gear. Even if you run a kiteshop and have tons of experience... I don't see how you can objectively tell with such small incremental change. Kite being still crisp might just feel better over 1 year old kite ;)
Wind/water condition and how well bar is tuned will have a lot more impact on session that a small incremental change. Also most of us upgrade 1 size at a time so we rarely compare apple to apple ;)
Personally I can tell difference between significant design change or kite type but I don't think I would be able to tell from a small incremental change. Especially boosting wise, some day I boost well some not and I use same kite lol.

I have tried a bunch of kite from friends and often they would have bar set depowered or their lines were out of tune so kite would backstall, even half en hour on kite by the time you realize line aren't set right you barely get a chance to get a good feel for it...
I'm not even sure how I feel about a kite I have owned for a while since wind condition and settings have huge impact on session...
