With polarized lenses you can't see the water Surface very well

yeah I agree especially when riding waves. It does depend a bit on the angle sun to wave but in general I am not too worried about the polarization. $12 is worth checking it out :-)

Let me know how it goes, I want to make sure that I’m not a stark raving crazy person.

+1 for cheap safety glasses. I add a neoprene elastic strap for 50 cents to stop em falling odd.

That exactly what I did.

Sun, I'll keep you up to date. They should land at my place tomorrow.

I've stopped wearing glasses on the hydrofoil because it doesn't splash and I have time close my eyes in crashes. So my contacts don't get washed out.

Ok the #m glasses and straps came in today. I think this is going to be it from me in terms of exploring other options. I do not mind paying for quality, but most glasses cost $150-$250 unless its seaspecs and for they all break fairly fast.
3M with straps came in at at $20 for 4 glasses and 6 straps. I could probably have found cheaper straps if I looked, but whatever.

They fit fine and seems to be decent quality. Though I do not care too much, they also don't look super dorky. My guess is that the quality is not very different from more expensive and designed brands. I'll be using these for any kind of sport.

Cheap glasses for years: polycarbonate frame + polycarbonate glasses, not polarized, add a strap. I always crash with polarized shades, don't see the water surface, so not polarized for me. 10 bucks +-

Considering value for money - Kurtis glasses are cheepest. Geniously simple yet effective antifog ventilation system, polarized, safe elasticity of frame and lenses. On foil you have to have a clear vision all the time or you crash. I've tried about 10 different brands and all were fogging. Since a year I use Kurtis 2-3 times a week all year round. They fall from my face 2-3 times at crashes, but thanks to special strap they stay with you on your neck. Safe eye protection against sunlight, wind, as well as against hevy rain and heavy crashes facefront foiling headhigh waves. Kurtis glasses are not expensive for their value.
