Axis New Wave vs. Ocean Rodeo Jester (strapless freestyle)

Hello,

Can anyone compare the Axis new Wave and the Ocean Rodeo Jester? I am in the market for a new strapless freestyle board, and I am considering buying one of these two. Can somebody compare the two? I am interested mainly in the strapless freestyle performance, ease of jump, weight, but any other info like low end, feel in chop, surfability, etc. will be welcome.

Any other similar boards?

I've had a 5'8" New Wave for 2 years and absolutely love it. Previously I had 5'11" Slingshot Celeritas which was so corky and hard to waterstart in comparison. The New Wave is superb in chop where the flex absorbs it really well, making for comfy ride. It's too heavy to jump well. So there are far better boards if you want to do all of that! Friend had an OR Duke but preferred my New Wave, he's now gone to a Mitu. I didn't try the Duke before he sold it.
The low volume of the New Wave works really well. They are fast too - I just sailed mine with straps on at Weymouth Speed Week and managed 31kt average over 500m with peak just under 33kts.

I think they're quite different boards. My Duke is not like any other directional I've ridden...

oh, that heavy? So not good for jumping? I thought that becasuse of being marketed as a freestyle surfboard, it would be light and good for jumping...I will have to look somewhere else then. Pity, because I like the board concept -full surface pad, recessed deck and raised rails for grabbing-

interesting. Would you say it is light and easy to jump with? could you compare it to a F-One mitu, or a North Whip?. I like the full pad and looks of the jester
