Kevin is amazing. He could probably ride that well on my ancient 6' Global with loose plastic quad fins. Hope to see him and Jalou in Cape Town again in a couple of weeks time. Can't wait.

Oh man nice. Take some vid. I love seeing how that kite just drifts with him down the line...it is a thing of beauty.
I doubt plastic fins would hold up tho. :D I break those off in an instant. I think the funniest was once, I hit the top in a multi turn wave and as my fins comes out the back I see one fin just fly off (broken off at the tabs) and I instantly know the next top turn is going to be a problem and sure enough as the next turn comes I just slide sideways off the wave. I've since stopped using plastic fins. But because I also tend to break and grind down fins, I usually buy cheaper glassed fins on ebay / amazon. I will put on a good set when the conditions are epic. :D

I've snapped all the fins off at various times, just wish I could say it was smacking lips. For me it's usually misjudging depth!

haha yeah I get those too. Also because sometimes its just so shallow and I have found that I'd rather grind the fins than cut my feet.

#MokesProblems

I knocked 2 fins off recently when I was crossing the reef on the crest of the wave and it suddenly sucked dry in front of me. :( Rode a slippery wake skate thing the rest of the session.

LOL. Quite a few of those waves in HI. Always fun at backyards on low tide. Or Razors...good luck surviving that on low tide. :-)
