Brazil changed their laws.
So if you overstay your given days (Europeans normally 90 days) you pay now 100 Reais per day instead of 8.
Maximum is 10.000 Reais now instead of 680.
Be aware !

Be aware !
US Americans with a tourist visa can stay up to 180 days per year , BUT you have to go to Policia Federal to extend your stay after 90 days.
