No, my husband is too busy for KF... he‘s not a talker, more of a walker. When I get a chance to ask him something he usually answers to my satisfaction, but he isn’t always available as my private KB encyclopedia and most friends aren’t interested in my investigations or don’t know, so I have to ask the forum, which is how it should be. FYI the person next to me is a girlfriend.
OK, I like the Barbie analogy, but for Barbie to fly I have to launch the kite. In this case it sounds like Barbie has to boost to go up since the boat won‘t launch the kite. Or does it? Nick had to boost to go up, right? And then align the tow line with the kitelines??? Sounds technically complicated . Don’t laugh, I‘m not a sailor I have no idea...

Ok, I took your advice, asked my husband and he explained it to me... but I thought others here might be curious: so you just leave the kite at 12 and you go up automatically as the boat goes downwind...
Have fun! If you ever figure out why you like heavier kites that tow you like a boat, DM me. Yes I understand it’s hangtime, I understand the thrill! But how do you design kites to behave like lead balls in a pivot? And are they perhaps safer? I.e. the Rebel and the XR5... too dorky a question?

To get back to the topic & why I like Core: from day one their defining goal had been the design of a kite that has both hangtime and agility. I’m yet to find a better alternative and yes I’ve flown Naish, Ozone, North and Airrush. Airrush is too unstable, North is a tractor, Naish isn’t into durability, and Ozone is really f#%^g good. But I’m also an LA Lakers fan (despite Koby) and I’m not likely to support the Bulls, sorry. Got my pride!
