Brazil wave sailing

Postby Bill » Fri Dec 15, 2017 7:47 pm

Is brazil good for wave sailing? If so what are the best spots? Do people normally hire a car out there to get around to spots etc?

I really enjoy the waves from Taiba to Paracuru...
We always hire a car, best to get a Buggy or a 4x4
PM me if you need more local info.

Cheers

There are quite a few spots between Taiba and Paracuru that can have great waves. I would seek out a guide with local knowledge because you will spend a lot less time trying to figure out where the spots are...they change pretty radically in the different tides..IMO a car is a must for those spots.

Good advice above. Taiba and Paracuru are the best for waves in the Northeast of Brazil, close to Fortaleza.

Further south like Ibaquera Point south of Florionopolis you will also find great waves.

Check here for more spot info: http://se.kiteforum.com/spots

Nothing is 100% safe.
I recommend to stay in Paracuru st a nice Pousada and shuttle to the spot during the day.
Pretty safe.
Google for Pousada Paracuru
