What do you think about this Woo 20.9m jump (picture)?

Postby Bladesurfer » Wed Dec 27, 2017 7:23 pm

Hi.
I just wondering if you think the Woo is right on this one.
I know alot of people think that Woo is very inaccurate.
I think this one might be correct.
The line length is 22m. There is a video as well. The take off is way below the water line that way I drew the line so far down.
North Evo 9m in 30-40knots.

when I look at the pics where the hell are you going to land ? there seem to be no room downwind and from this height you need at least 2 loops on the way down ... the fact that you are typing here means you're still alive ... so please enlighten us ;)

I think the length from you to the kite is more than 22m since you have the lines on your kite which extend a few meters before they connect to your actual kite lines. Rad boost!

Looks like the 2018 Evo, how do you like it?
Did you ride older EVOs before?

From the pic it looks like it boosts pretty well and holds up in overpowered conditions despite onty 3 struts.

I really like the Evo. have both Rebel and EVO 2018 (I'm, a dealer)

I can boost higher with the 2018 EVO then the 2018 Rebel. and it is becouse it is much faster.

yeah a 5 strut is more stabil then the 3 strut but nothing there is bothering me. :-)

Best Regards
Kent Ellegaard

I copy pasted a ruler over your photo. 20.9m seems real close to me!

Image

You do know that a 20.9 meter jump is world class. That's higher than the highest jump that Lewis Crathern got at the last Red Bull King of the air (Crathern could only get a 19.4 meter jump). Once you are jumping over 20 meters you are up there with the highest jumps that have been done with a kite.

Thanks man. I like your comment with "only 19,4" haha Lewis is King!

My calc is 18.8 meters based measuring the photo considering 22m lines.

Which by the way is monster!

On a side note. The jump in the vid wasn't landed, so that's a fail In my book. You need to land it to count it!
