It's Looking like Mr Liam Whaley will be taking his spot. Big air isn't his priority but he spent quite some time in Cape Town and knows how to handle the gnarly conditions well. Hopefully he'll combine some of his most hardcore freestyle moves with high altitude :o

I'm not sure if Nick's injury is kite related.

I vote on straps, even if almost everyone will be on boots

I don't think so!

Read about their gear here...although not all responded (pretty much all of them are on boots, besides Kevin).... http://kiteforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=2398582

Good to see many in straps, but if it gets really windy (like the KOTA should be) many will change to boots i believe.

I wonder if more boots riders will switch boards now like Aaron did...that will make the difference of winning a heat or not, as we saw from Aaron.

Gonna be interesting if riders will change their strategy.

I think Steven Akkersdijk has a real chance of winning it. His megaloops are radical

Very radical !

But, variety...but he can also do Boardoffs...he might switch too within the heat...
