Hope someone can help me.
I'm trying to find the best and safest beginner kite for my girlfriend.
Which ones can you recommend that flags on only one line (single frontline or 5th line) ?
Take care

The best system is the one you know how to use properly

I'm looking for kites (not C) with quick release systems that releases on one line instead of two lines.
You are right that knowing how to use a QR properly is the key. But self-rescue on a kite that releases on two lines is harder than on one, especially in high wind. That's why I was hoping to get some recommendations on good beginner kites with that type of QR or with a safety 5th line.
Are you sure almost all changed to single frontline QR?

The ones that do not do this still have pretty decent safeties these days. I'd do some internet research on the major brands, you can look at their control systems on their websites and see which have the SLFO system.
I can definitively say that
Cabrinha
Flysurfer
Ozone
Naish
All have single line flag outs.

There was a thread called something like
Interchanging kite bars with kites
or something close to that. You can search for it and get the mix/match single front line. The way I remember it except for the older Ocean Rodeo and F-One’s they were all single front line or 5th line. And I think, so double check it, but both of those brands have now moved to the single front release as well.

Thank you guys. I'll look into the recommendations. The experience I have is limited to F-one and BEST. I think F-one is still on two lines.

Not sure which one is best bar but my wife toolessonson cabrinha bar and she was able to release walkback upwind and reset bar easily with no mishap. It didn't work on fone Bandit at all, you can't walkbackupwind when you release, kite stays a bit powered.
New liquid force bar looks pretty nice too.

For the reasons below, I believe the Cloud Connection System to be the safest of all:
1) Option to fully disconnect with 01 step only.
2) One single front line system.
3) More depower, because the bar is closer to the body ( Does any other system has 72cm of travel to sheet in/out?)

Yes, the Ocean Rodeo Stickshift bar has 115 cm of bar sheeting travel if the adjustable stopper is set at the very top.

Unless the OP's girlfriend has exceptionally long arms the Cloud Connection is absolutely not suitable!

For example, better to use a SS Sentinel bar with a rope slider and SS Talon QR to bring everything closer to her.
