One strut kites - which the lightest of them all?

I have flown 2 of the brands on your list, and I used to own no strut.

Both one struts were wonderful for foiling. Much preferred over no strut, but those two one struts were very different in how they behaved as the wind increased.

I think how they behave throughout their wind range is the more important point to consider.

I think that the Airush Ultra is the lighest, followed by its grand-mother "One"(2011-2012) missing in your list but (Rarely) available on second hand market.

My loved Airush "One" 9m is 2.3 kg , and can handle high winds if properly pressurized (10-11 psi).

Can you elaborate on the behavior and also mention which brands they were? I absolutely agree this is important.

I have North Mono 12-9-7 and they work good for foiling and surfboard. The 12: if I can fly it, it will get me up on foil. It flys in really light wind.

When I read people saying the if their kite will fly they can foil it makes me think their kites don't handle lulls very well.

Back to the original post, can we get weights for all these kites?

Maybe add Airush Lithum One kites?

Maybe add BRM, Voyager, and Gong strutless?

Maybe even add light-wind-specific three strut, like OR Flite?

But let's stick to weights instead of arguing about our favorites. I would love a true reference of all kite weights on one place.

Agree that if saying so, their kites are heavy and dont handle lulls well.

But you forgot to write that YOU can foil i 8 and 6 knots with these kites.

This will always be an individual thing, as besides rider weight of course, also board and foil wings and type etc, makes a huge difference in how low you can go

You are very right though, that these light kites we use now in foiling, can hang in less wind than we can ride, and assume that was your point

Not sure this thread is about foiling at all, or ? - since in the kitesurfing forum and not the hydrofoil section, and not asking about strutless, so assume it is for other board types, or for both types ?

To make meaning of this comparison, weight them inflated to recommended PSI. Because air inside the tube has mass as well, different PSI and tube volume has effect. Inflate, put a hanging scale and read the readout. Unless you want the lightest kite only for travelling package.

Way too difficult, and as we pump the kites to about the same, and the air volume is not that much different - no need to make it so complicated IMO.

The weight in kg or pounds weighed deflated on a scale, kite with bridles and nothing but that, and the kite type (brand/model) and area in m2 is sufficient.

I can find the weight of two of them, and indeed, I also only find it interesting in 10 m2 and bigger really

Dont try to recalculate and "scale" to a specific common size, that is not possible as not linear.
