The best board I ever tried is what I have now. But if I ever try a better board then I'll replace what I have now with the better board.

Still, just like the Wipika Airblast was a huge gamechanger in terms of speed and windrange and jumping ability and everything in 2001, the Wipika Olry was too IMO.

The airblast was the first kite that felt modern, you could ride it today. The Waroo 2 was the first bridled kite that felt 'right' ... we are spoilt today.

My fav board was the Naish Stubbie 115cm. Man, that thing was so much fun. Bit crap for jumping, but just so much fun to ride.

So true - the Waroo was the very first bridled kite that really kicked ass bigtime, and was in full balance, it was a delight in every way :thumb:

Boards are more difficult, as a lot of personal liking...

I loved the small Brunotti Lord Of Hellfire when it came - you could ride with LOADS of power, and jump insanely high :naughty:

Completely opposite to the wide boards used today

Fanatic joyrider 118x38 bought it 2004, had a lot of boards since then but this is still my preferd one. Flat, and light, very fast and snappy because of the rounded outline. Found a survior in Denmark so now i have 2 :)

I had a Monk , pinnbot , and all the Bronq versions . Still have the bronq 2017 , a North x -ride 2017 and a SU 2 pro rider .
Heard a lot off good things about " boardschmiede " , did go to " Workum " for a test and bought one after that session .

It is better than everything i have owned ( better than all my shinn's , and i am a shinn fan )
It is a handmade carbon free ride board with a very special bottom design and flex .

They have tested it in " gleiten tv " and had a lot off good things to tell about this board .
My brother ( who also is riding shinn bronq and SU 2 pro ) had it about 0,5 hour to try and start searching immediate for a boardschmiede for him to replace one off his boards !

Delta Hydrofoil custom race foil. Amazing, like standing on a chair going 20 knots.

Haven't tryed so many but I really like my Shinn Bronq. Good in most conditions and never dives. I'm thinking about drilling some holes in it to make it a mutant "plummet style".

Every single Tomo I've ever gotten on.

Vanguard: magic (rode it until I snapped the non kite rapidfire construction in half jumping it, it's now back together as my foil board)
Vader: although my current one is a little too big, ridden the correct sized and it's magic. Pair it with some of FW fins and you can easily do the steezy Stuey K style blow tail to slide turns, yet still carve big lines.
Evo: MAGIC. Even my 5'1" surfing version can catch some waves easier than my 5'1" Baked Potato that has 5L of volume more
Nano: magic (at least for regular surfing, never got a kite version)

Baked Potato: so much fun for small to even 5-6' waves for some reason.
DHD DX1 is a pretty damn fun board with wave that has some proper curl to it.

North Jaime was a fantastic right in the middle of just soft enough to freeride comfy but, stiff enough to unhook and pop well.
