I haven't tried enough but so far I love the Nobile Fifty/50, great control and pop when powered, it s a lot easier to hold more power with deep edge and pop aggressively than other boards i have tried.
big con is that is pretty slow compared to other board, definitly want to try bigger size. Or maybe find a flatter outline small board...

I want to try those boards:
Shinn Ronson
Axis Limited
cf raptor pro
cabrinha X caliber
custom boards: Saul custom, Tonalife ...

Be lucky if the laundry was 4 square meters :D have a "spare" room upstairs, but I'd have to keep moving gear around and the floor is carpet.

The other problem is, getting supplies here :(
If you really want to do it you'll find a way. Otherwise you'll find an excuse.
:thumb: or I could just pay much, much less for the materials, not waste them, and buy a board someone else has already made
More excuses.......
But it's ok if you don't have the room or skill or desire to make a board. The reality is, unless you are very practiced with composites and woodworking you will not produce a board that is equal to or better than a production board for some time.

Also if you don't already have the tools and equipment to make boards it will cost you more to make a board initially. But once you have the tools board cost is significantly less.

That said, the satisfaction you get out of building and riding your own board especially when it is better than production units is s glorious thing. It's worth the effort to learn.

I have only ridden about 10 boards, but the one that stands out head and shoulders above the rest was the Nomad Carbon CCS that someone loaned me for a test drive.
It cuts chop like a knife, and in flat water it glides like a slab of butter in a hot skillet. Then I saw the price and have tried ever since to forget the experience.

Nice story... was that the oval shaped Nomad?

If so try an Ocean Rodeo Mako..

I think it was the Wipika Olry 175 back in 2001/2002 - a game changer back then :thumb:

The first twintip ever, so smoooooth and easy - and we simply loved it.

Somehow funny, as some years later, the twintips died again for most of us, and waveboards/raceboards/foilboards are the thing now (directionals just like back when it all started for real in 1999) - only the freestylers kept riding these, but could be seen more as a wakeboard than a kiteboard IMO.

Still, just like the Wipika Airblast was a huge gamechanger in terms of speed and windrange and jumping ability and everything in 2001, the Wipika Olry was too IMO.

^Eppo,

you know that I have your old FS Rad board :)

Where can I try NHP ? Jason @Pond?

Yeh right lol. Small world. No one Over here has nobile demos nor stocks them I don’t think. They are bloody expensive over here as well. Somewhere over east sells them but the carbon nhp was going for 1700 ...!! So I got mine from the UK. They can stick those prices where the sun don’t shine.

Good board but not that much better than a lot of those mentioned above.

Is $30 too much for you ? ;)

Coz that is how much it really costs.
I once tried to get some thrust bearing for the Infinity bar mod . . . $3 bearings, they wanted $80 shipping. Same thing was $20 each here...

And here's what $30 gets you: https://www.amazon.co.jp/200Gsm-10100Cm ... iber+cloth

That's a small board!

Yeah that and time. But maybe it'd all be worth it just to have some decent graphics on a board :o

...how do you know it's better than a production board? ;)
