...how do you know it's better than a production board? ;)

I've ridden other simuilar production boards and gone its nice but......

Closest to my board is a mako. Mako's are definately cool. They are better upwind than my board. But my board kicks the arse of a mako in the waves, it carves nicer, is smoother, less twitchy and can take signficantly bigger and steeper faces without nose diving.

Was out today in 35 knots and smashing waves galore. It is really an awesome build. For boost and waveride it is the cats pajama's!

I do have an other buid perculating in my head. Essentially the same style of board but better upwind and more efficient.

I assume Mako is one of them, what were the other ones? Can't remember the specs on your board...concave and mutant, isn't it?

We've got an F1 Legend and an original Naish mutant in the shed at the club house. I'd like a bigger version though. Mako 150 in mutant mode needed heaps of power but bugger me, what fun!

The Limited is good enough in the "surf" too. I guess if conditions were different, gear would be different :)

As far as wave tt's and mutants
I've ridden mako 140,150 and king. Shin speedball, decay katana and Cutlass, axis twinwave and a couple of others which for the life of me I can't remember what there were.

They were all cool boards. Speedball was a blast in beach break crud. mako carving, chop riding and boosting in chop is awesome.

Can't have been that good if you don't remember :D

Speedball I've wanted to try too, but I've only ever seen one Shinn board here and it was the foil board slim board thingy.

Hmm...
