Not sure what this size kite is exactly but I think it’s designed by Don Montague(Chapter One) to cross from San Francisco to Hawaii and it’s huge!

This winter I had the pleasure of finally getting on one of those old 24 meter C kites. First of all, you have more power in a smaller modern kite that is 14 meters than this 24 meter kite. Relaunch is a nightmare. I also have a 19m C fuel kite and have owned the 18m cabrinha black tip in the past. Those were delights to relaunch. This monster tho. Goes straight downwind doesn't have as much power as a modern kite half its size, falls out of the sky in light wind because its so heavy. The single best thing you can do with the 20m yarga is to use it every day. Before a single month is up you'll have lost 20 pounds and be buff as hell. Pumping up those old kites are great workouts. Not very useful for actual kiteboarding though.

Seriously though pump it up and fly it. This is one of those things it's nice to learn by doing. Flying it one time should be sufficient.

I agree with edt on the Cabrinha I had a 17m Co2 in 2003/4 still got it and that was a nice kite to fly well balanced and you could water relaunch it more easily but as said nothing compared to kites nowadays for safety and relaunch it’s been in the bag for 12 years now perhaps I might get it out if it’s still air worthy and give it a try! Just to refresh my memory.
