Recommendation on large tube kite for light Foiling

My kites now are Open C style freestyle/freeride kites (Naish Dash) 9-12-14.
The bigger Naish is the Fly which I have heard mixed opinions on.
So any non-pimp recommendations for a large tube kite that be purchased in the after-sale markets?

Rider weight 83-85 kg. Level: Relatively advanced in freestyle etc (10 years kiteboarding)

I tested the 12m Boxer and was really impressed. I used it twice in winds from 8-15 knots. It was really stable in the sky, turned pretty quick for a 12m with nice constant power and lots of depower when you sheet out. No issues with back stalling and recovered well in the real light stuff when it started to fall from the sky.

I think that is the biggest kite I would need on my foil before wanting a foil kite. I've also used the Airush Ultra 12m which is also great for lighter winds and heard good things about the North Mono too. There was a guy out on a Cloud 8m in about 10-12 knots and he was up and foiling so, a 10 or 12m in those could be pretty insane.

And for context - I'm 105kg, foiling for 18 months and riding a Shinn Jackson and f-foil.

13 or 10 Cloud depending on line length, foil size and how light the wind is.

Both gong and Stormkitesurfing have struttless kites for affordable prices. I read they are different (higher air) than the BRM.
Storm also has a single strut 'race'/'speed' kite.
I use Naish trip struttless. Not sure they still sell that one..

What is the lowest wind you can get going on your 14m Dash? I highly doubt any other or bigger tube will extend your low end on the foil with more than 1kn. Eventually all tubes fall out of the sky or don't generate enough power to get you going and the only thing that will fly is a foilkite.

I would consider keeping your 14m Fly. Since it is a 2 strut lightwind kite, it should work well for foiling.

If you are looking new, and live in the US or are close to the US border, I would look at the BRM Clouds. They come in strutless and one strut versions, and they flutter much less that a Naish Boxer.

For used kites 10m or smaller, any wave or wave / freeride kite should work fine.

Look for kites that have good depower, and good steering when depowered.

TT's or Waveboards or Hydrofoils ?

If for hydrofoiling, go for a 12-14 m2 one or nostrut kite, as simple as that

Most of the 1 strut kites are amazing for riding a foilboard:
- cloud (even the old ones which can be had cheap)
- LF Solo
- Airush Ultra
- North Mono
- Naish Boxer

15m Turbine is my magic for a large twintip board. At my 190 lbs weight I owned 19m Speed3 Deluxe, through 16m NRG to 15m Turbine.
On that path, I tried so many of the LW kites and I landed my choice on the 15m Turbine:
Flysurfer 19m Speed 3 Deluxe, 16m/14m Liquid Force NRG, 17m Best TS, Airush Lithium Zero 18m, 17m Slingshot Turbine (slow), 15.5m Liquid Force Solo, 17m Core XR LW, 15m Flysurfer Sonic FR, 15m Naish Fly, 15m Ozone Chrono R1, 18m Cabrinha Velocity, 13m Ozone Edge, 13m Cabrinha Contra, BRM Cloud 17m

Eventually I tried 14m Rally and 13m Turbine and 14m was far less powerful, not enough for LW and 13m Turbine was fine but conditions weren’t the ultimate lightwind, I just rode on a regular twintip. Good power though.

For LW foiling I'd stop on 12m size.
Add 5-10m extension lines and your 10-12m kite will work in under 10 knots easily giving you enough power on initial stroke to get onto the foil and go and they'll fly in that apparent wind just fine.
Been there, rode my 10m Rally 2012 like that and I loved it.
