Kevin Langeree wins 2018 Red Bull King of the Air with Naish Pivot
As nuking winds hammered Kite Beach in Cape Town, South Africa, the 2018 Red Bull King of the Air went off in an impressive display of big air kiteboarding.
With 18 of the world's best big air kiteboarders vying for one of the most coveted trophies in kiteboarding, Naish's Kevin Langeree went through the gauntlet. Performing massive aerial acrobatics, including the kiteloop board-off—a trick he injured himself doing last year. Kevin consistently logged the biggest jumps of the contest with the Naish Pivot
to secure his second title.
Naish teammate Jesse Richman also rode ferociously, stoking the crowd with tricks that showed plenty of amplitude and progession throughout the contest. Jesse also landed one of the first ever kiteloop double half-cabs in competition—a trick that he has been working on for years. Despite his impressive display of progression, the 2013 champ barely missed the podium with a fourth place finish.
