Flysurfer Peak 1 bar hole

Postby Jyoder » Fri Feb 09, 2018 1:36 am

I love my old Peak 1 bar (and kite). The only problem is the hole is round and small and it “bites” or grabs the line when making aggressive turns, making depowering harder while turning due to lots of friction.

Anyone ever try to grind it out with a Dremel? What is under the padding next to the hole?

Before modifying the bar you can try putting some Silicone spray or wax on the lines to see if that prevents them from binding.

Just replace your thick dyeema with a thinner one. This one holds many kgs, like 400-600, no need...check the ratings for a new one, 300 max?
Think what racers use, thin lines. My FS bar mods work well. Silicone is good but I think attracts sand, wax migt be better.
