And then you would be more impressed by a double handle pass in 5 m = freestyle.
You have a tour. Leave us one event. Thanks !
This is no more "your" comp than anyone elses. Red Bull will do whatever they see fit. The manufacturers will want it to keep going in the directions of bridled kites that they actually sell instead of the C's they have had to keep in the lineup as a token of performance.
Will the comp go full board off? Where height and float and softer loops are considered extreme, or will judging shift to retain the original risk and athletically extreme angles its rewarded since it's rebirth?
It all comes down to how much dangle you want in your elite level kiteboarding competition.
Freestyle went from dangle to power. Will Kota go the other way?
Personally I think Jessie's all out, all the time, power based riding has made him the uncrowned king.
Id like to see each rider with a designated camera so we don't miss any tricks) as I think we seem to miss a lot on the live streams...

I think this year the camera was excellent.
I think they had 2 cameras per rider...one close up one further out.
Only few missed tricks due to same time jumping...but they showed it quickly afterwards.

Ok I didn't know that.... it was a lot better than past years. Especially when Aaron beat Jesse a few years ago. On the live stream I though Jesse had won it as we only saw him flying everywhere

here the answer from Sergio Cantagalli, organizer of the event:
for the 2019 Red Bull king of the Air edition, the event-committee is very keen in adding stats and digital datas (as height / speed / G-Force /air distance travelled ... and more) to the live stream broadcast, in order to better feed public and viewers with “accurate” informations, as well as more tips on judging live scoring and results.
…it will happen next!

It seems to me that wakestyle has reached "peak spin" with the only innovative moves being those done on Tack flip variations (ie kiteloop double half cab). Maybe KOTA should be hooked in only or have two paths riders can go down with winners for both "Big Air" and "Big Air Freestyle" the latter which would include specific scoring for different unhooked moves.
