Replay the video, see this happen. This is because the left back line is now being pulled due to the difference between left and right line and the distance from each attachment point to cement block. Good grief, I'll ask the questions next time.
erm, can't think of any atm
RedSky, this does not make sense, sorry to say that...
If the bar end is not "trapped" in something on the ground, the kite will stay just fine and no difference in distance left/right line.
Think about it this way, if you fly the kite down yourself, you sitting on the beach so bar low, and let the kite hang 1 foot over the beach - then if you let the bar go, the kite will drop DOWN and stand on the side on the beach.
Of course it will have a marginal angle "upwards" from horisontal seen tip to tip - but this does not mean it will fly up, as just verified above.
The only reason a kite sometimes bounces a bit up and down when left on a stake/object, is the small inevitable changes in wind down there, and the lower tip "sticking" to the beach, so it will either seek forward almost going LE down (in a "sqeezed" way), or it will fly a bit up but as soon as the tip has left the beach, it will drop down again.
This is very normal and no problems in this whatsoever
