Would I learn faster by shortening the kite lines?

every 10 mt there are about 1,5 knots difference ......years ago I had one with 27 mt north and another extra with 33 mt to gain some power .
it means more upwind ,no walking back and forth on the beach and more or less 1 mt smaller kite.
once we tried even to double the lines to reach 50 mt but the problem was space on the beach .
naturally you loose turning speed but more chance to go out and learn faster .

Schools often use short lines to teach kite control on the beach - it reduces the ability to produce power & therefore the possibility of injury, while still teaching the principles of kite positioning & the power window. I'm not sure any schools use then to teach when you're actual starting to get up on the board. You NEED the long power stroke given by the long lines in order to get up & planing.
