I used to favour jumping to one side, same side as I do tricks. Then Woo came in. The waves favoured me jumping in the other direction, and now I basically only jump in the other direction. But the change was quick and I assume changing back should be quick/easy as well.

For me same as Flyboy. Coming from windsurfing, I'm much more comfortable boosting with the kite in starboard tack due to the chop orientation of my home spot. The other side, it's easier for me to switch to toe side when I'm riding port tack, since the "new" front foot is my favorite one (right foot).

Used to jump goofy foot only, but about 5 years ago tried normal and jumped higher. Don't know why but I cannot jump goofy anymore, timing not the same...

Keep in mind that your local spot probably heavily favours a certain side for boosting because of the wind/wave angle and that might be why you have so much trouble boosting on your opposite side.

I find this is 10x more true when it comes to strapless airs too.

Very common.

However, I do transition jumps very well one side only (I think, is 8m good?).
8m jumps is very good. 9m is getting massive.

10m for some reason is a good goal to aim for, but you'll need really good winds, nice ramps or amazing technique.

Same - it happens, I can only back/front roll one way too. I can jump on my switch tack a bit, but only when coming into shore and redirecting the kite afterwards. I think it's pretty typical. I'm also mainly boosting in shallow water off little kickers.

Keep practicing your weak time you'll come up with a technique that'll prolly have your weak side boosting higher than your strong side.

Ditto. I can really only send it goofy. Which is silly because I'm regular. :/ Just a factor of the places I learned only ramping up for goofy launches. Just practice, I'm *SLOWLY* getting better at regular, but it takes a while.

Its normal. To me there are few considerations. For instance sometimes if you are in big surf its a matter of safety to be able to jump both ways. Same goes for switching and toeside riding.

If you do not have any safety considerations it is of course entirely up to you if you want to learn both ways, but it is a bit satisfying to learn tricks in two directions. My issue is to have enough time out there to be consistent in practicing. I tend to split sessions in two. One fun free ride part and one part where I practice something...unless waves are big or conditions in some ways are nuclear, then it is mostly just free / wave riding.
